Dubai: The Iranian port of Imam Khomeini in southwest of the country is set for a boost in infrastructure.
Private firm Pars Jam Nikan has signed a contract to build reserve tanks in a 40,000 sq m space of the port.
The port has a current capacity to handle 50m tons of goods, primarily oil-related.
Private sector participation in Iranian port development plans has been encouraged of late as sanctions ease against the nation and Iran gears up for more trade. [05/01/15]
